Background and Objectives: Virtual reality has the potential to enhance the quality of teaching and learning by creating interactive learning environments. This study aimed to investigate the willingness to use virtual reality as a tool to enrich education and learning.
Methods: This study utilized an applied-descriptive research design and employed a non-probability sampling method. The statistical population consisted of all students enrolled in Kashan University of Medical Sciences during the academic year 2023-2024, and a sample of 387 individuals was selected using Morgan's Kargesi table. The questionnaire's reliability and face validity were established through Cronbach's alpha and confirmation experts.
Findings: The findings of this study indicate that habit, facilitating conditions, social influences, attitude, price value, and hedonistic motivation have a positive and significant impact on the acceptance of VR technology in education and learning. Additionally, expected performance and expected effort were found to have a positive and significant effect on students' attitudes towards VR technology. Universities can enhance students' attitudes towards this technology by highlighting its educational benefits and making it more accessible for use. The proposed model demonstrates a good fit with the data, and the results indicate that individual and environmental factors positively influence students' acceptance of VR technology.
Conclusion: To increase technology adoption, universities can invest in technology infrastructure and create engaging and collaborative learning environments. However, this study has also identified technological infrastructural limitations in universities that may hinder the adoption of VR technology
