The aim of the study was to identify indicators of effective teaching of Islamic Education, which was conducted using the method of deductive content analysis. The participants included 16 top second-grade elementary school teachers with more than five years of experience and degrees in theology and Islamic studies in the city of Qom, who were selected purposively (judgmentally). The findings indicated that the indicators under the teaching stages, namely design (written and mental lesson plan, maintaining logical and narrative sequence, considering pre-organizers, flexibility based on student understanding, determining the type of activities, anticipating teaching aids, strengthening the sense of need for religion), implementation (participation, using problem-solving strategies in answering religious questions, using information technology, analogy, enjoyment, paying attention to the student's educational and cultural background, guiding them to conduct research, creating opportunities for discussion and review), management (intimateness of the classroom atmosphere, observing moderation, delegating responsibility, optimal use of time, regular and regular teacher presence in the classroom, seeking advice, grouping), supervision (sensitivity to the type of student questions, providing quick feedback on assignments, using the school's congregational imam, seeking guidance from the principal, moderator, and parents, analyzing the quality of student involvement in school congregational prayers, spreading the culture of enjoining good and forbidding evil, being creative and innovative, paying attention to Physical and mental needs) and evaluation (giving importance to input evaluation, considering individual differences, assigning homework outside of class, using parents' opinions) can be reflected.
