Abstract
The aim of the current research was to determine the impact of computer games on social interactions of students. The research was conducted as a semi-experimental type with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group, and its statistical population is made up of all students studying in the second elementary school of the 4th district of Qom province in the academic year 1401-1402, of which 36 people A simple random sampling method was chosen and they were randomly divided into two experimental groups (18 people including 9 boys and 9 girls) and control (18 people including 9 boys and 9 girls). In the pre-test and post-test stages, the students responded to the questionnaire’s interaction with peers by Akbari et al. (2016). In the present study, the reliability of these questionnaire was obtained using Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.83, respectively. The content validity of the questionnaires was also confirmed by several professors at Islamic Azad University of Qom. The Minecraft game was also played in groups, online and at a specific time by the students for 20 days. Covariance analysis and SPSS tool were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the use of computer games an effect on students' social interactions. The use of computer games had an effect on the dimensions of social interactions (victimization and bullying) of students. According to the findings of the research, it is suggested to pay attention to the role of computer games in social interactions of students.
